In this processing task, we used a Japanese rolling mill as processing equipment and an HRC65 tungsten steel ball nose end mill D6R3 to perform parallel finishing on the material M333 with a hardness of HRC48-52. Reasonable processing parameters were set, with a speed of 16000, a feed of 1600, a cutting depth of 0.01mm, and a cutting width of 0.02mm. Oil mist cooling was used. The processing lasted 5:30:45.
After more than 5 hours of processing, the tool was slightly worn under a microscope at 50 times the diameter, and the ball nose end mill could still be used. It is exciting that the final workpiece has uniform finish, no yin and yang surfaces, and the data error of the two small planes before and after the measurement is only 0.001mm, and the workpiece step is uniform.
In general, the processing effect this time is very ideal. Both the finish and the accuracy of the workpiece have met expectations, and the wear of the ball nose milling cutter is also acceptable, reflecting the excellent performance of the tool. This provides valuable experience and reference for the future processing of high-precision parts.
